The School Year Is Almost Over
As this school year draws to a close, families please continue to encourage your children to keep reading, stay focused and to do their very best these last few weeks of school!

Welcome!
As a new educator, I am always looking for useful tools that will assist families in becoming actively involved in their child's education. Education is dynamic and it is my hope that families will use this blog as a way to stay connected to what is happening in the classroom. In addition to finding resources relative to your child's education, you will also find things that I have found inspirational in my teaching. Some of these things will be written and some will consist simply of a photograph. Use and enjoy!

Our Second Grade Classroom
Dear Families
This site is intended to be of use to families of students in my class. You will find our daily schedule as well as links to valuable websites that can provide information about particular disabilities as well as links to websites that provide activities that you can do at home to reinforce what is happening in the classroom.
Because families of special needs children can experience periods of intense stress, this site is also intended to be a place where you can come to simply relax by looking at soothing photographs and be inspired by profound, insightful words of wisdom. Look for, and dwell on, the quotes of famous people that are on this site. They will change often so come back often!
